Aloe LiuAo
Liu Ao (Aloe) graduated from the Denmark International Youth Leadership Program, Yunnan Arts Institute with a BFA in Dance Performance, and China People's University with an MA in Education. Aloe is the creator of the art education courses "Awakening the Artistic Child Within" and "Physical Games" and the founder of the Angel Baby Art Education Dance Institution.
She has starred in dance dramas such as "Yunnan Impression," "Shangri-La Memory," and "Water Dance Source" as well as modern dance dramas including "Bed of Drama," "Lost," and others. She has participated in large-scale national performances such as the Beijing Olympics opening and closing ceremonies and the Shanghai World Expo, as well as national dance competitions like the Peach and Plum Cup and the Lotus Award.
She excels in creating dance art works and has directed modern dance dramas such as "Flowers Falling in Dreams," "What Are You Hiding," "Temperature Diary," and "You, You."
Recent contemporary art works: Invited artist at the "On Cloud" International Live Art Festival (2018-2021); Invited artist at the MIPAF Macau International Live Art Festival (2021); Invited artist at the Up On International Live Art Festival (2021); Solo contemporary art exhibition "Feed" at the Kunming Empty Space Art Museum (2021); Invited artist for the Walker Art Center 50th Anniversary Choreographer's Evening at the Walker Art Center in the United States (2022). She is currently the choreographer and artistic director at the CAAM Chinese Dance Theater in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
